(43) 近来程海和小贝交上朋友后，他发觉小贝很勤奋，有一个长大了驾驶飞机，保卫祖国的理想。程海就有意识地给他看一些反映解放军英雄的战斗故事书，还叫小汤做了一架大的滑翔飞机，校内校外都对他引导。

(43) After Cheng Hai had become friends with Xiaobei recently, he realized that Xiaobei was very hardworking and dreamt of becoming a pilot to defend the country in the future. Cheng Hai purposely provided him with storybooks about the battles of heroes from the People’s Liberation Army. He also asked Xiao Tang to make a large [model] glider for Xiaobei. Cheng Hai guided Xiaobei both inside and outside of school.
