  • 2. Before Liberation, he originally lived in Wucai Third Alley, where there were many old book stalls. Every day going to and from school, he saw many children gathered around the book stalls; this captivating phenomenon aroused his curiosity, and so he also started reading. One book, two books; once, twice — slowly, he was deeply bewitched by all the “magic” and “swordmanship” of “invisibility and transformation” and “spitting flying swords from the mouth”, going as far as reading over a thousand books one after the other.
