28. Having now gone through education through labor, his frail body had gradually become healthy, and his thoughts had become equally healthy. He began to realize with remorse what had made him forget that he was the son of the working class, and what had misled him onto the counterrevolutionary path. He now often thinks of these issues and feels a deep-seated hatred for those preposterous and obscene books, and for the rotten and degenerate poison of bourgeois ideology the likes of Wang Youcai. He is resolved to reform himself through labor and return among the ranks of the working class.
