(107) After completing his mission in Central Hebei, Bethune returned to the mountainous regions of Western Hebei in June 1939 and threw himself into new battles. Guided by Marxism-Leninism and Chairman Mao’s writings, he began compiling his frontline medical experience, working day and night to produce compile books like "On the Organization and Techniques of Division-level Field Hospitals in Guerrilla Warfare".
